Heardle alternatives: clips, layers and live rooms
Short Notes tests a tune from a short synthesized clip. Build the Band adds instruments. Multiplayer rooms give everyone the same tune and deadline.
Decide which music catalogue matters to you
DailyPlay currently uses 12 public-domain compositions performed by browser synthesis. If you want commercial pop recordings, this launch catalogue will not meet that need. The original Lessgames Songless is a separate service with its own songs.
Clip length changes the question
A tiny clip can reveal a timbre or a single attack. A longer clip reveals a phrase. Step up gradually when a hint is useful; repeatedly guessing random titles adds little.
Try a room with friends
Create a room, share its link and wait for everyone to join. The host starts a synchronized five-round run. Scores come from the server’s deadlines, not the clock set on a player’s device.
