Sources and Editorial Method
How DailyPlay verifies daily data, handles revisions and separates official answers from original practice.
Daily Krillion verification
We retrieve the publisher’s public today and reveal endpoints. Both must identify the same date, match all seven prompt IDs and texts, and contain supported score values. Failed checks preserve the last validated record rather than publishing partial data.
Updates and archived records
A scheduled Cloudflare job checks twice an hour. Successful validated editions are saved by date. Later source corrections replace that date’s record and its check timestamp. Historical dates are listed only when we possess a validated snapshot.
Hints and recommendations
Letter counts and opening-letter hints are generated from verified answer text. Recommended choices favor a high listed score and a manageable spelling. They are editorial convenience choices, not a separate official rating or a guarantee of acceptance.
Practice scores and song references
Rare Finds uses original fixed editorial points. Melody Match uses public-domain compositions performed by browser synthesis. Songless guides identify the Lessgames version; we do not currently publish an unverified daily Songless answer feed.
