Every word walks to FEET

Feetle is a daily word ladder where every puzzle ends on the same word: FEET. The original Feetle is at feetle.fun. Its site says the game was inspired by Elias Furst’s Poople and that feetle.fun is its only website. DailyPlay’s Feetle is an independent, unofficial version and has no connection to that site. It runs on the same engine as our Poople page, with a shared daily start word and an unlimited mode for extra rounds. One note on the name: an unrelated game also called Feetle asks you to guess a character from a picture of their feet. This page is the word game.

Playing Feetle step by step

Each round opens with a four-letter start word and the target, FEET. Change one letter per move so that every step is still a real four-letter word from the game’s list. Keep walking until the word on the board reads FEET. Before you begin, the board tells you how many moves the shortest route needs, which gives you a par to beat. If a route stalls, undo as many steps as you like, check a word in the built-in list search, or ask for a single suggested move. Fewer steps means a higher score.

Daily vs unlimited

The Daily tab gives everyone the same start word, so your result is directly comparable with anyone else who plays that day. A new start word arrives at the site’s daily reset. Nothing about today’s route is shown until you reach FEET; after that you see your steps beside the shortest possible count, plus one shortest path. Sharing copies only colored squares, one row per move, marking which letter slot changed, so friends can compare without spoilers. The Unlimited tab draws a fresh start word every game. Press New word for another puzzle at any point, with no daily cap and no account.

Feetle tips

  • Aim for the double E. Words such as SEEN, DEER and PEEL already share the middle of FEET, and from there the ends are quick to fix.
  • Know the last step. FEAT, FEED, FEEL, FRET, BEET and MEET are each one letter away from FEET.
  • Fix the letter that differs most first. If your start word has no E at all, bringing one in usually matters more than matching the F.
  • When consonant swaps run out, change a vowel. It often unlocks a new group of words.
